METODOLOGI PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA

Most of teachers feel disappointed to teach students in the class. It causes there are many intelligence level, such that teacher have to make the higher level students wait the other students and for the low level student must be study faster to reach the materiel. This way of teaching makes the student feel that mathematics so difficult to learn and it’s not enjoyable. So, to solve this problem, Cocroft Report (1982:132) said that teacher have to get many method for any intelligence level, they are exposition methods, discussion methods, problem solving, investigation, exercise, and application.
To increase the motivation of student, there are many ways of learning that should be done by teacher, such that:
1. Preparation step
In this step, the duties of teacher are map out the environment of study and mathematics activity
2. Learning step
In this step, the duties of teacher are develop the role of teacher, and arrange the schedule of mathematics activity, like the method is discussion or not, and excreta.
3. Evaluation step
In this step, the duties of teacher are observe student’s activity; evaluate his/her self; graded the understanding, process, skill, fact, and the result of students; graded and monitored the progression of students.
